Latest data shows that the number of China-Europe Railway Express services in the first half of this year increased by 15% year-over-year, making it a key part of the logistics corridor across the Eurasian continent.
According to the latest data from China State Railway Group, in the first half of 2024, the China-Europe Railway Express operated a total of 9673 trains, a year-on-year increase of 15%, transporting 104.2 million standard containers, up 21% compared to the same period last year. The China-Europe Railway Express has become an important logistics corridor on the Eurasian continent, providing strong support for economic and trade cooperation among沿线 countries.
Operational Highlights
1. Expanding rail network: The China-Europe Railway Express now reaches 25 countries and 217 cities in Europe, with 122 departure cities in China, forming a transport network covering key economic hubs across the Eurasian continent.
2. Expanding product categories: From initial electronics like mobile phones and computers, the range has grown to include automobiles and parts, machinery, furniture and appliances, food and beverages, and more—covering 53 major categories and over 5 million products.
3. Distinct time advantage: Shipping from China to Europe takes approximately 15-20 days, saving about 10 days compared to sea freight. At roughly 1/3 of air freight costs, it offers exceptional value.
